PURPOSE

To continue to foster connection with our community, and provide educational resources to our youth while we wait for the finalization of Grants and partnerships. Each month we will have a theme based off the chapters in Tameka’s new book: 11 Steps to Self Sufficiency. (See below)

AUDIENCE

These workshops would be open to foster youth and alumni.

PLATFORMS

We will be streaming these live sessions to our Instagram and Facebook pages, and will also post the recording to our Youtube account. This being said, you will need to have 2 devices (such as your smartphone and computer) to that you can stream to FB and IG at the same time.

STRUCTURE

• 10-20mins max.
• Connected to our monthly theme.
• Focused and educational. Examples: resumé building, interviews 101, basics of hair and make-up for photo shoots, how to cook a nutritious dinner under $20, etc.
• No prerequisites (meant to be a live session that people can join without attending previously).
• Requires minimum tools/supplies.

PAYMENT

$20 per session.
