PURPOSE

To continue to foster connection with our community, and provide educational resources to our youth while we wait for the finalization of Grants and partnerships. Each month we will have a theme based off the chapters in Tameka’s new book: 11 Steps to Self Sufficiency. (See below)

• Monthly Themes

AUDIENCE

These workshops would be open to foster youth and alumni.

STRUCTURE

• 60-90 minutes.
• Themed (i.e. resumé building, interviews 101, basics of hair and make-up for photo shoots, how to cook a nutritious dinner under $20, etc).
• No prerequisites (meant to be a workshop that people can join without attending previously).
• Requires minimum tools/supplies.

TIP: Having some sort of handout or worksheets for the attendees is a great way to keep our youth engaged and have something to take away from the workshop. Please try to create some sort of resource that could be sent to them virtually when they sign up.

$50/hr.
